NHS Urgent Care Walk-in Centres to Remain Closed

Owen Sheppard and the editor are right to draw attention to the stasis (no change) at Charing Cross Hospital Urgent Care Centre, Hammersmith Hospital UCC and Parsons Green UCC. The budgets for these UCCs have been taken over by London Region NHS and redirected "temporarily" to Covid-19. But Covid-19 is now dying out. We are witnessing yet more unannounced closures and centralisation of power. On 29th April, near the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sir David Sloman, Director of NHS London Region, wrote to the heads of all London's Integrated Care Systems (as yet not legally recognised as NHS bodies) demanding their plans to permanently adopt many of the changes which they had temporarily made to meet the Covid-19 challenge. That is the way that the NHS and Govs force through change: they "seize the moment".

Although we are going through a worldwide crisis, possibly never known so bad in human history, things are going to get better. Reprieve for Parsons Green Walk-In Centre

The Walk-in Centre will only be guaranteed until 31st March 2020. Hammersmith CCG has issued the following (wordy) statement:"At this time the advice we have been given from NHS England is that the current configuration of services will remain as they are until the end of March 2020.  This provides the CCG with the opportunity to undertake some further work on how current walk-in services can be re-provided in other settings.  The majority of Hammersmith and Fulham residents who use the service tend to be local to the Parsons Green Walk0In Centre and are mainly attending for services that in other parts of the Borough are provided within primary care.  Early in the new year we will need to undertake further work on this with a view to then engaging with local people on how we proceed from 1 April 2020." In other words they have no idea what will happen on 1st April, but hope to get new money between 1st January and 31st March to be able to keep it open. No promises!

Unsolved Hammersmith Nudes' Murders.

Back to square one and up against another brick wall. The 2019 B.B.C. documentary, Dark Son - The Hunt For a Serial Killer was viewed by the London Metropolitan Police 13 months ago. After 13 months the Met. have now contacted me to say that the content of the documentary was "purely speculative and without any evidential basis." In 1921 Harold Jones bragged how he had beaten Scotland Yard after he was acquitted of the murder of 8 year-old Freda Burnell in Abertillery. I am convinced he beat them again after murdering 8 women in the Hammersmith district of London between 1959 and 1965. Jones had lived incognito in Fulham, Putney and Hammersmith using a variety of aliases.

Volunteer to read with children!

Doorstep Library is a literacy charity that believes in the power of words to take children places, not just in their imagination, but in their lives. We want to see a world where all children can thrive in homes in which books are celebrated and a love of reading is embraced. With one in four 11-year-olds leaving Primary School unable to read or write properly, we recruit and train Home-Reading volunteers to go into some of London's most disadvantaged areas t help introduce young children (aged 0-11 years) to the pleasure of reading.   We run Doorstep Library projects in estates across Hammersmith and Fulham on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Monday and Tuesday projects run from 3:45 - 6:30 pm and Thursday projects run from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. Ground Penetrating Radar Scan.

I am a True Crime Writer and Television Investigative Consultant. I have for the past 14 years been researching the horrendous crimes committed by Abertillery-born Harold Jones. In 1921, Jones then aged 15 murdered 2 Abertillery, Wales schoolgirls, Freda Burnell aged 8 and 11 year-old Florence Little. After being released from prison in 1941 Jones served 5 years in the army before settling in Fulham, Putney and finally Hammersmith where he died in 1971. Jones used a number of names during his time in London - first Harold Jones, then Harry Stevens and finally Harry Jones. Research has led myself and many criminal experts to believe that Jones went on to become the serial killer known as the Hammersmith Nudes' Killer (1959-1965.) https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/488557/is-this-man-the-real-jack-the-stripper/These 8 unsolved killings have over the past 11 years been given much media attention. In 2011 a one hour drama documentary titled Fred Dinenage Murder Casebook - Harold Jones -The Welsh Killer has been shown repeatedly on various satellite Channels worldwide. (Google Harold Jones -The Welsh Killer.) This led to a major 90 minute national television documentary which was shown in January and February 2019. (Google Dark Son - The Hunt For A Serial Killer to see trailers.) In the early 1960's Jones using the name Harry Stevens  had lived in Fulham, 2 streets away from 3rd nudes's victim Hannah Tailford. In 1964 and 1965 whilst living in Putney under the name Harry Stevens, he was AT THE SAME TIME occupying a rented house in Hammersmith using the name Harry Jones. This was 2 streets away from 7th nudes victim Frances Brown and 8th nudes' victim Bridget O'Hara. It is my belief that there may be trophies buried in the garden at Hammersmith and the owner has now given me permission to use ground-penetrating radar to detect any such evidence.I am trying to locate someone in the film or media industry or anyone else who would be willing to cover the cost of the scan and record the garden being scanned. (Approximately 70 square metres.)On top of the circumstantial evidence regarding Jones living just 2 streets away from 3 of the murder victims below are a few more startling links.(1) Jones' own daughter has indicated that her father would leave her and her mother at home at the times of the killings and book into Rowton House, a doss house in Hammersmith whenever her parents would have a row. The daughter stated that she now believes her father would do this in fear that he may kill his wife in temper. Jones' own son-in-law stated that "There's no smoke without fire is there?"(2) Bridget O'Hara, the 8th victim was last seen leaving a pub near Rowton House on 11 January 1975 - Jones' birthday.(3) The person believed to be the killer had in 1964 shown one woman (a prostitute) a Metropolitan Police warrant card after she had got into his car. She stated that she felt very uncomfortable and made an excuse to get out of the vehicle. The driver gave her some cash before she got out. I believe the person was Harold Jones who was using the warrant card that had belonged to John Widdows, Jones father-in-law who had died just 2-3 years earlier. Widdows was a former London Metropolitan Police officer. Jones daughter stated that she still possessed her grandfather's retirement clock and Widdows may have possibly kept his warrant card when he retired.(4) At least 4 of the 8 murder victims were stored in a disused electricity sub-station on the Heron Trading Estate in East Acton. This was about 4 miles from Jones' rented property in Hammersmith. Jones daughter claims that her father worked in ACTON at the time of the murders but couldn't or wouldn't reveal which business premises he had worked at.(5) Jones left prison in 1941 after refusing treatment or discussing his crimes with the relevant authorities. The prison authorities noted that Jones, right to the day he was released showed no remorse for his crimes in Wales. Just shortly before his release the prison governor stated: "Sad as it seems, I can see no hopeful prospects for Jones in the future." The prison chaplain described Jones as "a no hoper." And then Jones was released onto an unsuspecting public possibly in the hope he would get killed in Libya where he served 5 years in the army.I am in contact with relatives of 6 of the 8 murder victims and they all (especially adult children of these women) are keen to know the identity of the killer in their lifetime. B.B.C. Breakfast T.V. Tomorrow.

Jackie Malton, the unexpected Star of Dark Son - The Hunt For a Serial Killer is appearing on BBC Breakfast TV tomorrow morning to talk about "The Real Prime Suspect" coming soon on CBS Reality. Jackie expects to be on T.V. between 8.40 am and 9.15 am. Jackie, a former Detective Chief Inspector at Scotland Yard played a pivotal role in Dark Son which was aired on B.B.C. Wales and B.B.C. 4 earlier this year trying to ascertain whether Abertillery born Harold Jones was the culprit responsible for the murder of 8 women in the Hammersmith district of London between 1959 and 1965. Scotland Yard are into the 8th month of gathering information and records before deciding whether to review the unsolved London murders.

£76 Million Wasted on Plans to Close and Downgrade Local Hospitals

The replies given by the NW London "spokeswoman" are mealy-mouthed and STILL deceptive. For example citing "the transformation of paediatric and maternity services in north-west London and an increase in children being treated without admission to a hospital ward" translates to: They closed the Maternity unit and the Paediatric dept at Ealing Hospital, which local reaidents fought hard to retain. Campaigners are still fighting to get them back. So mothers are forced to go to West Middlesex to give birth and children have to go to ?? somewhere miles away from Ealing. We never, ever hear a "sorry, we got this wrong" from NHS managers.
