Injured in arm after attack on Comeragh Road near The Curtains Up
The Curtains Up on Comeragh Road
A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital this Monday (15 January) after being stabbed in the arm in West Kensington.
The victim was walking along Comeragh Road near the junction with Vereker Road close to The Curtains Up pub some time shortly before 6.36pm.
He was approached outside the pub by a man brandishing a knife. He asked for the victim’s watch, before stabbing him in the arm. The watch was not taken. There is nothing to indicate at this stage that the attacker was a customer of the pub.
The suspect then made off in the direction of Barons Court Road. He is described as a black male, aged between 28-32 years old, approximately 5ft 9ins – 5ft 10ins tall, of a stocky build, with short tight curly black hair, possibly with a flat top, wearing a dark coloured hooded anorak or hooded parka type coat.
DC Imran Khan, from Hammersmith and Fulham CID said, “We are appealing for witnesses in the area to come forward. It would have been busy at the time of the incident; someone may have seen something that could assist our investigation.
“The suspect threatened the victim with a distinctive looking knife, with a red handle and red blade.
“We would be extremely keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw someone matching the description of the suspect in the area.”
