Man Stabbed to Death in His Flat in West Kensington


New arrest of 42 year-old man made while two others remain in custody

A 42 year-old man was arrested at Longridge Road, SW5 on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a north London police station for questioning.

Police say a crime scene remains at Longridge Road.

Two other men, aged 48 and 56 who were previously arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder remain in custody at a west London police station.

55-year-old man has died from stab wounds at his flat in a modern residential development in West Kensington.

Mr Aubrey, 55, was found seriously injured by police officers who were called to his home in Shaftesbury Place, a modern residential development on Warwick Road at 1.45pm on Monday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, and a post mortem later confirmed that he had died from multiple stab wounds. The development where the stabbing took place is behind the Tesco Superstore on the Cromwell Road.

An investigation has been launched by officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command under Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks.

DCI Luke Marks, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was recently in the area of Shaftesbury Place and who may have heard a disturbance coming from one of the flats to contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may know why Julian was targeted in his own home in such a violent way.

“Any piece of information, however small, may prove vital to my investigation.”
