Police and Fire Brigade investigators were seen conducting forensic examinations at the scene of a fire in West Kensington this Monday (7 October).

The first 999 call was received about the blaze at 5:46pm and four crews including 25 firefighters from Hammersmith, Fulham, Chelsea and North Kensington fire stations were sent.

The police cordoned off the road while the incident was being dealt with.

One room of the fourth floor of a four-storey house was destroyed by the fire which was under control by 7pm.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before he was released at the scene declining further aid.”
