Police Charge Man with Designer Goods Theft Spree


After appealing for help tracing suspect Austin Caballero last August

A man has been charged with 41 counts of thefts from designer stores across London.

Police appealed in August 2015 for help tracing Austin Caballero, who was being sought in connection with a series of thefts from stores in Westminster, Camden, Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham between 20 February 2014 and 29 June 2015.

Austin Caballero, 42, of no fixed address was arrested on January 1 2016 and charged with 41 counts of theft. He was further charged with assault and a residential burglary.

A plea and case management hearing will be held on April 1 at Blackfriars Crown Court.

A provisional trial date of June 16 has been set.
