Police say crosses found in Clem Atlee Estate could be stolen from local church

Police officers from Hammersmith and Fulham have released photographs of a number of religious artefacts - which were found dumped in a carrier bag - in a bid to reunite them with the owner.

On Friday, July 24 officers were on patrol on the Clem Atlee Estate in Fulham when they found eight crucifixes and a plaque depicting Jesus Christ, in a black carrier bag.

PC Ryan Campbell, from Fulham Broadway Local Policing Team, says: "The crucifixes and plaque are wooden and brass. We believe they may have been stolen from a church and would like to return them to their rightful owner."

If you recognise the items, please call Hammersmith and Fulham Police on 020 8246 2336 or via 101.
