Price Reduced on Fulham's Fabulous Royal Mansion
Princess Caroline's former home could now be yours for £20 million
The price of Fulham's royal mansion Hurlingham Lodge has been reduced ... to £20 million.
Hurlingham Lodge, once the London home of now separated royal couple Princess Caroline of Monaco and Prince Ernst of Hanover went on the market in autumn last year.
At that time, the price was undisclosed, but as the price had achieved a price of £18 million when it was last sold in 2006, the price was expected to be above £20 million - a historic record high for Fulham.
Now though, with no takers, property portal Rightmove's listing states that it was reduced during May to £20 million.
The low built detached mansion overlooking Hurlingham Park, for sale through two local agents, Savills and Aylesford is described as " undoubtedly one of the finest houses to be found in South West London" with " superb family accommodation, its own self contained office building, staff accommodation and underground parking for 10-12 cars."
According to the agents the mansion, which as you can see is surrounded by its own extensive gardens, has six bedrooms, two dressing rooms, five bathrooms, four reception rooms, study, two cloakrooms, laundry room, cellar, garden, heated swimming pool, separate staff cottage and a self contained office building with further staff quarters.
Hurlingham Lodge is one of a string of homes for sale in SW6 priced above £10 million. Lilybridge House, a "vast" house located at the southern end of Seagrave Road changed handslast year for £18 million while New Lodge, also overlooking Hurlingham Park was up for sale for £16 million.
At St George's development Chelsea Creek in Imperial Road meanwhile, the Tower Penthouse on the 24th floor is still awaiting a buyer willing to pay £16,950,000 million, and on Parsons Green, the historic Aragon House is still for sale priced £11 million.
