Italian husband and wife team launch new venture in May
The 40 seat restaurant, which is pronounced kah-lee-che, will serve dishes inspired by both the north and south of Italy.
Chef Carla Murgioni, who will run the kitchen has designed a menu to include Italian specialities such as capesante al pompelo (pan-fried scallops in grapefruit juice), risotto de giorno (risotto of the day) and salmone special dello chef in crosta di papavero (chef's special poppy seed roasted salmon served in a sweet beetroot purée with sautéed asparagus).
There will also be a selection of desserts such as homemade tiramisu and a variety of Italian ice-creams.
Wines will be served by both the glass and bottle and a series of wine tasting evenings will be introduced in the coming months.
Ravelli, who has a background in fashion design, has worked alongside architect Maurizio Balistreri on the design of the restaurant, using bespoke furnishings handcrafted in Italy.
