Two New Coffee Shops Open in Fulham

With two more on their way in the new year

At 17 Jerdan Place, the site vacated in October by Moosh has already been taken over by Gianluca's Coffee Cult, which had its Grand Opening on December 11.

As well as coffee from London based Workshop Coffee, the new cafe offers a full menu from breakfasts to sandwiches and salads and Italian favourites including pizzas, pasta risottos and home-made desserts such as tiramasu and pannacotta Sotto.

What is unusual is that the food, all made from scratch on the premises is sold by weight, so customers can choose between a large portion of one dish or a selection of small portions for the same price.

At 739 Fulham Road, the corner site recently vacated by Emma Bridgewater, which has moved a few yards west to 779 Fulham Road, the latest branch of Gail's Artisan Bakery is very busy providing breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, as well as baking and selling 30 different breads every day.

More cafes are on their way in the new year. An as yet unnamed cafe is finally nearing completion at 2 Vanston Place on the site of the former Walham Green toilets and has received permission from H&F Council to add outdoor furniture and heating at roof level. You can see this application here.

Across the street at 7 - 15 Vanston Place, on the ground floor of the Chelsea Reach development, La Petite Bretagne is awaiting a decision from the council on its application to create a new cafe and delicatessen.

French creperie La Petite Bretagne already has a very successful branch in Beadon Road in Hammersmith, which has won numerous awards, including being voted Favourite Coffee Shop for two years in a row by local diners.
