Parsons Green school praises girls' 'fantastic achievements'
GCSE results, revealed yesterday, are now graded by numbers, with 9 being the highest level. Despite exams being tougher and grade boundaries stricter than last year, nine high flying Year 11 students attained all 8 and 9 grades.
74% achieved all Grade 5 or above and 91% achieved Grade 4 or above, as the table below shows:

71% of girls attained the English Baccalaureate. These are girls who attained 5 GCSEs with a minimum of Grade 4 of English and Maths, and a minimum of a grade 4 in three other ‘E Bacc’ subjects, which are: Sciences, History, Geography, French and Spanish.
Lady Margaret's overall Attainment 8 score is 64.37. 48% of grades in total were 9-7 and 83% of grades were 9-5.

The school is also congratulating the many Year 13 students who are heading for universities across the country after achieving A Level success.
Overall 82% of grades were A*-C and 62% of grades attained were A*-B.
Twelve girls attained at least three A/A* grades at A Level, which is a fantastic achievement. There were five A* grades in English and four in Spanish. In French, History, Music, and Spanish no student attained below a C grade.
This Autumn Lady Margaret girls will be starting courses in many different subjects, including Medicine at Leeds and Manchester, Biology at Durham, Theology at Bristol, Dentistry at King’s College London, Geography at Bristol, French and Spanish at Edinburgh.
The school has students going to Oxford to study English, Engineering, History and Philosophy and Theology. Thirteen girls will be starting Art Foundation courses.
