Fulham Road will be closed overnight throughout next week between Fulham Broadway and the Stamford Bridge border of Fulham and Chelsea.

The closure, to allow for resurfacing is set to place from 8pm till 5am from Monday February 10. The work is expected to take five nights, though this timing is approximate, subject to weather conditions.

Donna Kelly, from Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s Transport and Highways department, has send a letter to local residents saying:   “We have identified that the carriageway of Fulham Road between the junction with Harwood Road/Fulham Broadway, to the borough boundary requires repair.

“The works will be undertaken to minimise disruption. Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times. Local diversions will be in place.”

The work will be carried out by the council’s contractors FM Conway and Ms Kelly adds: “ We have instructed our contractors to keep disruption, noise and nuisance to a minimum. Please accept my apologies for the disturbance.”

H&F Council says there will be parking restrictions and suspensions during the works and advises residents to check the signs to see where they can park. Vehicles in a suspended bay will be relocated to the nearest parking space.

Ms Kelly says,“ If you park on a private drive, please contact me as access will be limited over a period of time and I will be able to arrange on-street parking for you in the area.”

Residents can contact Ms Kelly by emailing Planned.Maintenance@lbhf.gov.uk. To report a site issue they can call FM Conway on 01732 600 888.
