Four Youths Now Charged with Murder of Amrou Greenidge

Police renew appeal for information about fatal attack on Broomhouse Lane

Victim - 18 year-old Amrou Greenidge

Two youths aged 19 have now been charged with the murder of Fulham teenager Amrou Greenidge, along with a 16 and 17 year-old who have already been charged and appeared in court.

Detectives are renewing appeals for information about the murder, which took place last Sunday, 18 August in Broomhouse Lane.

Detective Chief Inspector Rob Pack, from Specialist Crime, said: " Although we have now charged four people in connection with Amrou’s murder, I would urge anyone with information that may assist my investigation to make contact.

" I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed either the collision itself or the Mini leaving the scene. Did you see it in the hours before the murder or up until the time it was found burnt out?

"Any piece of information, however small it may appear, could prove crucial in forming a timeline of events and establishing whether anyone was else was involved."

Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC. Quote CAD 4407/18Aug.

Police believed that after being deliberately knocked off his

bike by the driver of a Mini Countryman car, 18 year-old Amrou was assaulted and beaten by four others.

Amrou was found by police lying in Fulham's Broomhouse Road, between Sulivan Court Estate and Hurlingham Park on Sunday afternoon afternoon around 2.43pm. He had suffered severe head injuries and died in hospital on Tuesday 20 August.

Two youths were arrested on Monday, 19 August. A 17 year-old youth was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Tuesday, 20 August and a 16 year-old youth was charged with murder in connection with the death on Wednesday, 21 August.

Both were kept in custody and appeared on Wednesday at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.

The silver Mini Countryman which police believe was involved was later found burnt out nearby on Dymock Street in Fulham, and a 19 year-old youth was treated in hospital for burn injuries.

A growing number of flowers have been laid at the scene of the attack, and it has since emerged that Amrou was a talented former Taewando champion.

Police say there will continue to be police patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
