Broadway Motorbike Victim's Injuries 'Not Life Threatening'

Hit and run accident caused closure of Fulham Road on Thursday

Police say that the man hit by a motorbike outside Fulham Broadway shopping centre on Thursday evening did not suffer life threatening injuries.

The Met says: " Police were called at 6pm on Thursday, 15 September, to reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and a pedestrian on Fulham Broadway.

"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found the male pedestrian (no further details) with injuries. He was taken to a central London hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

"The motorcyclist did not stop at the scene. Enquires are underway to trace the rider."

Onlookers on Thursday said that the collision was a "hit and run" with the motorbike rider speeding off, leaving the victim lying in the road.

Fulham Broadway cordoned off following accident

The collision led to Fulham Road being closed in both directions east of Fulham Broadway and a section of the road cordoned off by police for over an hour on Thursday evening.
