Fulham Road Closed East of Broadway after Man is Hit by Motorbike

Onlookers report seeing 'hit and run' accident outside Broadway

Fulham Road is closed in both directions at Fulham Broadway and a section of the road cordoned off by police on Thursday evening after a man was hit by a motorbike on Fulham Road opposite the Broadway.

Onlookers reported that the accident was a "hit and run" with the motorbike rider speeding off, leaving the victim lying in the road. He has now been taken to hospital.

At 7.30pm, the road remains closed between Gunter Grove and the Broadway and a line of buses halted by the accident remains east of the accident site. Buses are also currently unable to travel east via Kings Road, due to the National Grid roadworks. Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes.

A police officer at the scene said they are investigating the incident.
