Fun on the Foreshore in March

Spring Clean ups taking place on both sides of the river

Waterways charity Thames21 is calling for volunteers to put on their wellies and join two giant Deep Cleans taking place on March 2 and 3.

The Deep Cleans are timed to mark the lowest daytime tides in five years.

The first is on Tuesday March 2 at Fulham's Bishop's Park, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Volunteers should head for the gate in the middle of the park leading to the foreshore.

The second clean up is on Wednesday March 3 on the Thames Path, south of Hammersmith Bridge from 11am till 1.30pm.

Thames21 says all equipment is provided and asks volunteers to wear their oldest clothes, and prepare to get dirty!

If you have restricted mobility, contact Thames21 in advance on 020 7248 7171. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
