Police Release E-fit Image of Suspect in Fulham Road Assault


And ask for witnesses to attack outside Fried Chicken Shop on 26 July

Detectives in Hammersmith and Fulham have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault which left the victim with serious head injuries.

On Sunday, 26 July at approximately 2.20am police were called to Fulham Road, outside Fulham Fried Chicken Shop to reports of an injured man.

Officers arriving on the scene found the 37 year-old victim lying on the floor. He was taken to a west London hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull and bleeding to the brain.

It is believed that the victim had entered the fried chicken shop to purchase some food where he came across some people involved in an altercation.

He tried to separate them and they then left the shop but started to fight outside.

The victim followed them outside and tried to separate them again; however one of the men punched him in the face causing him to fall on the floor. This man then left the scene leaving the victim on the ground.

The suspect is is described as a white man, approximately 23 - 28 years-old, 6ft tall of muscular built. He had short black hair and bushy black beard.

Trainee Detective Constable Stewart Cherrington from Hammersmith and Fulham CID, said:  "This was an innocent man who simply tried to break up a fight between adults arguing about queue jumping. As a result of his injuries, he is still suffering with symptoms caused by the assault.

"We know that the fried chicken shop was full of people at the time of incident, and I urge anyone who knows who this man is is to contact the police and assist us with our investigation."
