Naudel Turner named as man is charged with her murder
A woman who died after being stabbed in the neck in Tottenham, North London has been named as Naudel Turner, a nurse who lived in Fulham.
Ms Turner, 42, was the mother of two boys. She had travelled from Fulham to her work at a GP surgery in North London when she was attacked in broad daylight shortly before 1pm in Bruce Grove, N17 on Wednesday March 19.
The killer reportedly stood calmly at the scene and rolled a cigarette as he waited for police to arrive.
Ms Turner was named yesterday, March 20. as police
said that Dariusz Miakienko, 46, of Lordship Lane, N22 had been charged with her murder.
He will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' court today, Friday, March 21.
An incident room is open in Putney under Detective Chief Inspector Noel MucHugh from the Homicide & Major Crime Command, who is appealing for witnesses who filmed the aftermath of the murder to come forward.
The Detective Chief Inspector said: "Ms Turner was a hard-working mother of two boys. At this early stage we believe she may have known her attacker and we are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help with the investigation.
"I need to hear from anyone who was in the Bruce Grove area shortly before one o'clock on Wednesday, March 19 , and who may have witnessed the incident.
"I would like to directly appeal to anyone who may have captured images or footage before and after the incident to contact us immediately.
"In particular we would like to speak to a black male who was wearing a white tracksuit top who witnesses saw taking images at the scene.
"He is not a suspect but we urge him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
"I would appeal to him or anyone else to contact us with the footage or images they took as a matter of urgency and not to upload them on the internet or share them with friends as it may harm our investigation."
GP Dr Fariba Azarian, who worked with Ms Turner, told the Evening Standard: "She was an absolutely lovely, lovely lady. One of the most professional and caring people that I have seen.
"She was somebody who would go out of her way to help people and patients. She was very, very kind. We are just shocked and distraught by it."
