Five arrested after 17 year-old suffers several stab wounds
A teenager is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed during a gang fight on the Gibbs Green Estate in West Kensington on Sunday afternoon.
Five people aged 16 to 46 have been arrested after the 17 year-old boy apparently suffered several stab wounds during the fight.
The stabbing happened at around 2.20pm when officers were called to a fight between a number of people.
London Air Ambulance and another ambulance arrived just after and took the teenage male to hospital with a doctor as a priority after treating him at the scene.
Police confirmed they have arrested three teenage boys aged 16, 17 and 18, as well two men aged 22 and 46.
A spokesman said: "A 17-year-old with stab wounds remains in hospital in serious condition.
"The incident is being investigated by the Met's Trident gang crime command unit."
Nobody has yet been charged and the investigation is ongoing.
The Gibbs Green estate and neighbouring West Kensington estate are part of a special police dispersal zone where officers can order groups of troublemakers to leave an area immediately for a maximum of 24 hours otherwise they face three months in prison or a £2,500 fine.
The special powers were given to police in October 2012 after complaints of drug dealers blighting the area and fights regularly breaking out.
