Detectives investigating the murder of a Fulham man in the front car park outside HMP Wandsworth almost two year ago have arrested another suspect.

Darty Austin-Bruce, who was 20, lived in Fulham Court. He was shot on Heathfield Road in Wandsworth on May 1, 2009 at around 2.30pm and pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

The 33 year-old suspect, who lives in Fulham was arrested on March 4 on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station. Police say enquiries continue.

There have been several arrests in connection with this murder, and three other men have already been charged.

This crime led to a second murder which took place on the Fulham Court state shortly after Mr Austin-Bruce's funeral. Anthony Otton, 28, had been attending a wake for the murder victim at Geranium House in Fulham Court and was shot dead as he was leaving.  At the time there was widespread speculation that this was a revenge attack.

Police described the shooting as a "rarity in the borough" and stepped up patrols around the estate to reassure residents.
