Host of cultural events begin on Sunday June 8
Hammersmith's first Arts Festival begins on Sunday June 8 and promises a week of non-stop activity through till June 15, with over 100 events and 270 artists taking part and more still being added to the programme.
The festival will feature visual arts, literary events, music, performing arts and film at venues across the borough.
On opening day on Sunday, the programme will include a wide range of events:
Albert and Friends Instant Circus perform at Ravenscourt Park from noon till 4pm
Riverside Studios hosts an Open day with behind the scenes tours at from 10am till 1pm
SOFAP, the Society of Fulham Artists and Potters opens an exhibition of work running till June 15 at Fulham Library
Local artist Hazel Soan exhibits paintings entitled Going Places at Soan Studios in Fulham from noon till 6pm
The Grove in Hammersmith Grove hosts its weekly Twice as Nice comedy night at 8pm
Broadway House private members' club opens to the public with a photographic exhibition introducing CFA Creative's Nataliya Gorbovskaya from noon till 7pm
Riverside Studios presents three films: 3pm: A Farewell to Arms / 6.30pm: Strangers on the Train / 8.40pm: Les Diaboliques
H & F's Town Hall Cube features six contemporary artists throughout the week, beginning on Sunday
A guided Rock and Roll walking tour begins in Goldhawk Road in Shepherd's Bush at 2pm
Digital artist Bud Merryweather exhibits portraits of local people at The Bush Theatre from 9am till 11pm throughout the week, beginning on Sunday
