Man dies after becoming trapped under wheels of lorry

A cyclist has been killed in West Kensington after being involved in a collision with a lorry this Thursday (15 December) afternoon.
He became trapped under the wheels of the vehicle after being hit at the junction of Charleville Road and North End Road shortly before 3.18pm.
The impact of the collision broke his bicycle in half and he was assisted by local shop workers and passers-by as the ambulance was awaited. An air ambulance was also dispatched but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Spokesperson for the Met said, “Officers were called at 15:18hrs on Thursday, 15 December to Charleville Road, W14. A cyclist was reported to have been in collision with a lorry. LAS and London’s Air Ambulance attended.”
Local road closures were in place at the time of the incident.
