A cyclist in their forties is in hospital after what has been described as a life-threatening condition after being hit by a bus on Fulham Palace Road.

The collision occurred at 2.47am on Saturday morning (16 October) between A304 Fulham Road and St Etheldreda's Church.

The road was closed for much of the day for investigation work by the police leading to substantial traffic congestion in the area in advance of the match between Fulham and QPR which kicked off at 12.30pm.

The road has now re-opened in both directions.

The driver of the bus was not arrested.
