It's another busy month at Fulham Palace with a programe of activities for adults and families and the continuation of an exhibition of archaeological discoveries.

Opera at the Palace
Friday February 15, 7.30pm

Limited tickets are still available for this event, a firm favourite in Fulham Palace's calendar, offering a unique opportunity to experience an evening of entertainment with singers set for stardom.

Soprano Katie Bird, mezzo-soprano Rachel Kelly,  tenor Anthony Flaum and baritone Victor Sicard, accompanied by pianist  Berrak Dyer, will be singing selections from Carmen, La Bohème, West Side Story and many more  – up close in the Great Hall.

Lecture Series with London Head Gardeners - Andrea Brunsendorf

Andrea Brunsendorf, Inner Temple Gardens talks about continuing to make history in the Inner Temple.

Foreshore Archaeology Walk with Thames Explorer Trust
Sunday February 17, 11am - 1pm

Follow in the footsteps of Victorian street children, many of whom scraped together a living by ‘mudlarking’ on the Thames foreshore. The walk will be led by an experienced member of staff from the Thames Explorer Trust, and walkers should be prepared to get muddy and wear either walking boots or wellingtons and be aware that footing can be unstable and slippery.

Natural Colour Workshop
Tuesday February 20, 10.30am - 3.30pm

Natural colour workshop for 8-12 year olds. Led by a textiles artist, you will discover the magic behind making natural dyes from things like onions and berries. Plus, find out how you can decorate fabric using resistance methods. Write all the recipes down in your own spell book to take home.

Half Term Family Drop-in
Wednesday February 20, 2pm - 3.30pm


Come along and make a snuggly nest or home for an animal to hibernate in. Drop in to the Jessie Mylne Education Centre anytime from 2-3.30pm. £2 per child, no booking required, suitable for 5-12 year olds.

Please note – children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Archaeology Handling Drop-in
Sunday February 24, 2pm - 3.30pm

Come along and to handle some real archaeological objects from the palace's collection including some Roman pieces. Free, no booking needed, all ages welcome, takes place in the Fulham Palace Museum.

This is an exhibition which displays recent archaeological discoveries at Fulham Palace found during the Phase 1 and Phase 2 restoration works and items and information uncovered during the recent Community Archaeology Dig which took place in summer 2012.

The exhibition runs until Wednesday April 17 in Bishop Sherlock’s Room. It is available to view during usual museum opening hours, Saturday to Wednesday from 1pm – 4pm.
