First Restaurant Signs Up at 10 Hammersmith Grove

Bill's set to move in opposite Lyric Square later this year

Bill's is to be the first restaurant to open in Hammersmith's newest office building, 10 Hammersmith Grove.

The respected restaurant guide Harden's reports that the chain will open a restaurant on the ground floor of the "landmark site" later this year.

There will be two restaurants at 10 Hammersmith Grove, to the north of Lyric Square, both of which are expected to have extensive outdoor space.

The owners of the building say that the other restaurant is also under offer, as is one third of the office space. The company taking this space is expected to be drinks giant Pernod Ricard.

This will be fast growing chain Bill's second restaurant in Hammersmith and Fulham, following its launch on Westfield's Southern Terrace in June.

The restaurant, part of a chain which has grown from a single Produce Store and Cafe opened 12 years ago in Lewes in Sussex by owner Bill Collison, says it celebrates food and offers people the chance to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or afternoon tea or take home such good local produce, incluidng Bill's jams and chutneys for supper.

As with the Westfield branch, the new restaurant is expected to create up to 50 local jobs.

10 Hammersmith Grove, which celebrate its completion on July 1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, is on the site of the former NCP car park next to the Hammersmith and City Line station and opposite Lyric Square, and is the first new office building to be built in Hammersmith in a decade. A second building will follow.
