Conservative Oliver Craig Elected in Town Ward


Lib Dems win second place in By-election

Conservative Party candidate Oliver Craig has been elected to serve as Councillor in yesterday's Town Ward By-election.

The Conservative candidate received over three times as many votes as either of the two candidates.

The results were as follows:

Oliver Douglas Craig (Conservative): 970 votes
Andrew Malcolm Jones (Labour): 271 votes
Paul Kennedy (Liberal Democrat): 289 votes

Rejected ballot papers: 3

This result means that the Liberal Democrats have edged out Labour to achieve second place.
