Meet the Candidates in Town Ward By-election


Polling Day is Thursday October 15

The candidates in the upcoming Town Ward by-election have been selected.

The by-election is being held on Thursday, October 15 following the sad death of Councillor Antony Lillis.

The three candidates are:

Conservative - Oliver Craig

Oliver Craig has lived in Hammersmith & Fulham for over six years, returning to the borough he was born in. He currently lives just off the Munster Road with his wife, Julie. Active in the borough, he is a school governor, a friend of The Royal Marsden and has set up a Neighbourhood Watch Group.  He is particularly passionate about education and is an energetic fundraiser for a wide variety of charities. Oliver currently works in public relations. Formerly a sports journalist for Sky Sports News, Oliver has a wide interest in all sports.

Labour - Dr Andrew Jones

Dr Andrew Jones is a former Fulham councillor, having served on the council from 2002 till 2006. Andrew, who is is 35 and lives in Fulham, is the head of the Geography Department at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Liberal Democrat -Paul Kennedy

Paul Kennedy is the only candidate who is a Town Ward resident, having lived in Barclay Road for nearly 20 years. A lawyer with two teenage children, he is a longstanding member of his local PTA and the Lady Margaret Music Society, and a supporter of the London Cycling Campaign, the National Trust and the Green Liberal Democrats.
