As the Premier League season kicks into gear, Fulham FC Foundation is preparing to swap football boots for golf clubs at its upcoming Charity Golf Day, set for Wednesday 17 September at Caddi Club, Wimbledon. The event promises a unique blend of sport, star power, and social purpose, all in support of the Foundation’s work across South West London.
Several Fulham first-team players will trade the turf of Craven Cottage for a virtual round at the legendary Bethpage Black Golf Course, using state-of-the-art simulators to showcase their swing. With up to 300 guests expected, the evening will feature a Longest Drive competition, a Q&A session with the players, and a fundraising auction offering signed memorabilia and premium golf experiences.
One lucky pair will earn the chance to tee off alongside Fulham’s stars—an opportunity that blends fandom with philanthropy. Tickets, priced at £25 per person, include a welcome drink and full access to the evening’s activities. Details and registration are available online.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Fulham FC Foundation, the official charity of Fulham Football Club. Founded in 2002 and registered as a charity in 2005, the Foundation is driven by a mission to build healthy, inclusive, and thriving communities through sport.
Operating across boroughs including Hammersmith & Fulham, Lambeth, Merton, Kingston, and Surrey, the Foundation supports over 10,000 participants annually. Its programmes span:
Recent impact data shows that over 4,000 sessions were delivered free of charge, with participants reporting improvements in physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connection.
Mat Doolan, Business Development & Communications Manager at Fulham FC Foundation said, “This is the perfect event for our players, who are huge fans of golf, to connect with the wider Fulham Family. With our strong tradition of Ful-American players, there’s sure to be a healthy rivalry in the build-up to the Ryder Cup.”
From Clint Dempsey to Tim Ream, Fulham’s American contingent has long added a transatlantic aspect to the club’s identity.
