Details have been announced of the cafes and restaurants set to open on the ground level of Fulham Pier which is due to open next summer.

The Riverside Market will be accessed by the newly opened walkway next to the stand at Fulham FC’s stadium. Units have already been taken by singer Tinie Tempah’s healthy soul food concept Raps, Hammersmith-based Base Face Pizza (which was founded by Fulham fan Tim Thornton), Goila Butter Chicken and Fat Pickle, a burger restaurant led by Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen graduate Big Has.

Licence applications were submitted for the units earlier this year for food and drink to be provided to anyone attending a game or walking by the river seven days a week.

The first floor of the development, designed by architectural firm Populous, is to be taken over by an up-market restaurant yet to be announced although previously it was described as the Water's Edge restaurant by the club.

There is a boutique hotel on end of Fulham Pier with a health spa at the other and the development is topped by a terrace for the exclusive use of Fulham FC.

At the basement level ‘The Orange Box’ will provide a hospitality space for fans on match days and will also be available to promote cultural and social programmes.

The Fulham Pier building will have seven floors 'each unique in concept and experience' including an area that can be used for live performances.

The second floor will offer various entertainment and refreshment areas comprising the Chairman's Suite, Director's Suite and other entertainment spaces, which the club is calling Markers, while floors three to five will become a Members’ Club, plus Health Club and Spa, including a heated open air rooftop swimming pool.

The new 8,000-seater Riverside Stand has been under construction for five years having been hit by delays due to the pandemic and the bankruptcy of a contractor but is due to open this season.

Fulham Football Club chairman Shahid Khan said, "There is no other riverside setting like this in London. The entire destination will fulfil our vision to optimise the expansive views of the riverfront while introducing an iconic promenade, all delivering a waterfront experience across every floor.

"As the first stadium transformation of its kind in Europe, we can't wait to share the new space with our community and visitors from across London and throughout the world, certainly when Fulham is playing but also every day of every year."

Glen Sutton, director of Fulham Pier said: “With a year-round programme of events, activations and a variety of food and beverage experiences, we are excited to be taking an innovative approach to delivering a new social destination for residents, locals and tourists in West London. We’re also pleased to be able to support London based businesses, with several zero rent opportunities available for small enterprises and entrepreneurs across the site.”
