Taking up retail unit on ground floor of the Fulham centre

Upmarket patisserie and bakery Gail’s is set to open another branch in the SW6 postcode area.
Planning permission has been submitted for the conversion of the retail unit of the newly built Fulham Centre at 20 Fulham Broadway.
The 1,500 sq ft premises is on the ground floor of the five-storey office building next to the local branch of Barclays.
Gail’s already has a bakery in Parsons Green at 739 Fulham Road and further along in Chelsea at number 341.
The company was set up in the 1990s by Gail Mejia and opened its first shop in Hampstead in 2005. It is now owned by private equity company Bain Capital.
It currently has over 100 shops with most of them in the London area.
It says that all the bread products in its stores are freshly baked with natural ingredients. Many of the loaves sold in its outlets are priced at over £4.
