Appeal for Witnesses to Wardo Avenue Attack


Two men struck woman and took her phone on October 1

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery in Wardo Avenue in Fulham on Tuesday, October 1.

At around 9pm a 29-year-old woman got off a bus in Munster Road and walked west along Wardo Avenue while talking on her mobile phone. 

The victim stated that an unknown man suddenly appeared on her right hand side, grabbed her hand and struck her on the cheek before taking her phone.

Whilst this was taking place a second man shoulder barged the victim on her left hand side. She screamed and the suspects then ran off towards Fulham Palace Road. 

The suspects are described as wearing dark coloured clothing such as hooded tops and "puffa" style jackets. 

The victim stated that she saw a total of five men run off.

No arrests have yet been made and police say their enquiries continue.
