Police hunt for suspects on Thursday evening
Police converged on Eel Brook Common in a hunt for at least two men on Thursday evening between 8pm and 9pm.
The high speed chase was led by two police officers on motor bikes pursuing one man who ran north towards Effie Road and a second who tried to escape by running west across the common.
A number of police followed both in cars and on foot, and witnesses saw a man being bundled into a police van at the junction of Campana Road and Favart Road, on the western edge of the common. An ambulance also arrived at the scene.
The north of Eel Brook Common is directly across the tube rail line from Fulham Court, the estate where 28 year-old Anthony Otton was shot dead on June 4 in what police suspect was a revenge attack for the murder of Darcy Austin-Bruce outside Wandsworth Prison on May 1.
