Barking for BTRC is Back on Parsons Green

Have fun with your dog and support brain tumour research

A new tak

September 2, 2024

Fulham’s four legged residents will have the chance to show off their agility skills, good looks and perfect manners at Barking for BTRC - a fun dog show coming to Parsons Green on Saturday, 14 September.

This year’s show follows the huge success of the 2023 event, which was attended by hundreds of local people and their pets and raised £17,500 for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign, or BTRC.

This year’s show, open from 10.30am till 5pm, will offer a wide range of activities for dog and their owners, including a long list of classes to be judged by local celebrities.

The classes include Cutest Puppy, Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog, Most Appealing Eyes, Waggiest Tail, Best Young Handler, Best Rescue Dog, Golden Oldie, Best Groomed and Scruffiest in Show.

Other events include My Dog's Got Talent, Dog Agility Displays, a Fashion Show and Doggy Tombola, plus a range of stalls selling merchandise including the BTRC’s own doggy scarves and tote bags.

There will be prizes for the winners of each class and the day will end with the award for the Best in Show.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

We've always done that and won't be changing, in fact we'd like to do more.

However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.
