A young local artist has created a painting for the Scope charity shop in North End Road. Called ZiZi’s Doll House the artwork is a permanent feature in the Community Corner and the design is on a range of products, exclusively available in the shop.

Disability equality charity Scope collaborates with disabled artists whose work is featured in this way.

Earlier this month, the Fulham branch had a visit ZiZi who came to see her work of art. She gave it her seal of approval and said she was “proud” to see her work on the wall.

The piece is a celebration of diversity and disability and features illustrations of people from around the world inside the doll’s house windows. 19-year-old ZiZi has profound autism and is an incredibly talented artist. She happiest when she is drawing her beloved characters, with each having their own name and personality.

ZiZi’s Doll House is also featured on mugs, notebooks bags and tea towels and the range is proving popular with customers who love ZiZi’s design.

Rabab Raza, Zizi’s mother said, “I know, being her mother, I would say it but, like Zizi, I’m incredibly proud to see her beautiful work of art on the wall. The shop is absolutely stunning so seeing it in such a wonderful environment was a very special moment for us.

“Having the work of local disabled artists in Scope’s new shops is such a wonderful, unique idea and is a very effective way to display fantastic talent for customers to enjoy. I am very impressed with the work Scope is doing in increasing awareness and inclusion of disabled individuals, who have many skills and talents offer but are invariably overlooked.

“I was so pleased to hear that the products featuring ZiZi’s Doll House had been flying out of the shop, so I made sure I bought a few more for her very proud grandparents, before they sold out!”

Scope is at 421 North End Road, Fulham, SW6 1NY.
