This year this hospital says it will be showcasing its values and plans to redevelop the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

There will also be career talks a for people interest in joining, or re-joining the NHS.

Chief Executive Lesley Watts said: "This is set to be a very special Open Day for us as our teams will be showcasing their work and how proud they are to be able to care for patients while in hospital.

"We will be sharing our plans to redevelop our critical care services for children and adults. This essential work will allow us to treat 700 more critically ill adults and babies every year.

"At last year’s Open Days we recruited 30 new nurses to join our team. This year we will continue to actively recruit staff to clinical and non-clinical roles, as well as volunteers, at these events so if you’re keen to join one of the best performing and forward thinking Trusts in London then please come along on the day.

"If you are thinking of working for the NHS, if you are concerned about your health, if you want to know how we care for over 600,000 patients a year, or just want to entertain the kids, then this is a must-do event.

" Last year nearly 1,700 people came along and we’re hoping even more people come to what is a great day out."
