Virendra Sharma Holds Ealing Southall for Labour


Veteran MP back in parliament in secure seat

As expected the incumbent long standing Labour MP Virendra Sharma has held his Ealing Southall seat with a majority of over 16,000 votes.

His vote total was down by by over 6,000 but his Conservative opponent Tom Bennett failed to increase his own party's number of votes.

The Liberal Democrats and the Greens saw their votes increase..

There was a 42,409 turnout from an electorate of 64,580 giving a turnout percentate of 65.7%
