Decanter Magazine votes it restaurant of the month
Malcolm John's Le Vacherin restaurant on South Parade continues to pick up accolades. After last month making Giles Coren's list of the top twenty restaurants Le Vacherin has now been announced as Decanter Magazine's Restaurant of the Month. Decanter is widely seen as the wine industry's bible.
Brian St. Pierre, the magazine's reviewer said, "The main wine list of 50 bins-strong, is French, good value, and mostly from central and southern France. Languedoc, Roussillon, Gascony and Bergerac lead the way, with a few bottles from Burgundy, Alsace and Bordeaux for the less adventurous."
Decanter, Britain's leading wine magazine read by both experts and enthusiasts alike in over 90 countries, publishes reviews of three restaurants a month. Which restaurants will be reviewed is decided by the quality of wine served and how it works with the dishes.
Restaurants that make it to publication are then put forward to the Restaurant of the Year Award - announced in February’s issue.
Highly regarded by industry experts, Decanter is authoritative editorial mix of news, interviews with leading wine personalities, regional profiles and wine recommendations.
During October and November you can enjoy delicious, slow-cooked Sunday lunches at Le Vacherin for just £9.95 and this includes a glass of wine. Choose from slow cooked pork belly with puy lentils, slow braised shoulder of lamb sauce navarin and slow cooked ox cheek bourguignon.
