Chiswick's newest Italian caffé and food shop will be smoke free
Italian-style caffé chain Carluccio’s, who are set to open their doors in Chiswick this May, is to go completely non-smoking from 3 April 2006. Carluccio's said its decision came after the announcement that a nationwide smoking ban in enclosed public places would be introduced in 2007.
The company also said feedback from staff and customers clearly showed support for a move to smoke-free status.
Carluccio's is currently renovating the former Burger King site on the Chiswick High Road close to Turnham Green. Represents from the company have kept in contact with Chiswickw4.com and have expressed their desire to become involved in their newest local community.
Managing Director, Simon Kossoff said "We are serious about real Italian food and serious about training. We look for enthusiastic, hard working people with a passion for Italian food who thrive on working in a busy environment to become members of our staff."
"As the number of our Carluccio’s Caffés and food shops continues to grow, so does our focus on providing consistently excellent food and service to our customers. We do our best to create a memorable experience in a happy bustling environment."
And it's not just Carluccio's blowing their own trumpet, recent press acclaim includes "They are bright, bustling places with a trattoria feel, where children are welcomed with open arms."
from BBC Olive, February 2006 and "Shoppers delight in Carluccio's deli-cum-restaurants, where you can have just an Italian coffee and biscuit or a large pasta or salad." The London Guide 2006.
