Fuller's
get Bitter and Twisted
Britain's
Champion Beer now available in local pubs
The newly-crowned Champion Beer of Britain – Bitter and Twisted from Scotland’s Harviestoun Brewery – is now available in 24 Fuller’s managed houses. Fuller’s is the only company to have gained direct distribution with Harviestoun.
Bitter and Twisted won the award from the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), on August 5, 2003 at the Great British Beer Festival in Olympia and, like previous winners, has seen demand for the product rise suddenly.
This demand was difficult to meet so Fuller’s, in its determination to make sure the award-winning product was on sale in its pubs, pulled out all the stops, including sending casks to Clackmannanshire to be filled.
Fuller’s Inns’ drinks marketing manager Elton Mouna said: “We know that the best real ales in the country are those produced by us – but we think it is important to support quality ales from across the country. We’re over the moon to be one of the only places in the South where real ale aficionados can enjoy a pint of Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted.”
Bitter and Twisted will be on sale in 24 Fuller’s managed pubs during September including the George IV, the Old Pack Horse and Latymers on Hammersmith Road.
