Using social media to keep in touch with neighbourhoods
Police have warned people to double lock their door with a chubb lock as many burglaries recently are being committed by suspects prising open the top Yale locks.
And with warmer weather, they say it is advisable to only keep windows open if you are in the house. Although there has been a reduction in burglaries in the past few weeks, there are also warnings for residents not to leave any tools, ladders lying around in gardens or driveways as it is possible that criminals could use them in committing crime.
Twitter has been rolled out across the MPS and Turnham Green is one of the latest wards to sign up. Sergeant Dave Turtle will now be tweeting on behalf of the ward team on @TurnhamGreenSNT. Chiswick Homefields team are on @MPSChiswickSgt and Chiswick Riverside can be found on @MPSRiversideSgt.
