Acton Murder Victim Named As Kamil Malysz
Police now believe he may have been stabbed as early as Wednesday

The man who was stabbed to death on Alfred Road in Acton has been named as 34-year-old Polish national Kamil Malysz.
They now believe his body may have lain undiscovered since as early as Wednesday 23 January before being found.
A murder investigation was launched after police were called to the multi-occupancy residential property on the morning of Sunday, 27 January at 10.15am following concerns raised by a local resident.
Mr Malysz’s immediate next of kin have been informed as have his extended family members in Poland. The family are being supported by specialist officers, while his relatives in Poland are also being kept up to date with the investigation.
A post mortem examination took place at Uxbridge Mortuary on Monday, 28 January and gave cause of death as haemorrhaging due to a stab injury.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, 27 January and has now been bailed to return on Wednesday, 20 February.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, are investigating.
DCI Goodwin said, “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of Alfred Road from the early hours of Wednesday 23 January until Sunday 27 January, to contact the team.
“We believe Mr Malysz’s death could have taken place as early as the Wednesday prior to him being found.
“Our team continues to work hard to establish the circumstances which led to the loss of this young man’s life.
“I would therefore urge you to share any piece of information you may have, and let officers decide on its relevance to the investigation.
