He is among the big names performing at fundraising show in December

Big name comedians Omid Djalili and Michael McIntyre will help raise funds for the re-development of Wimbledon’s Polka Theatre during a special show in December.

The Big Charity Comedy Show at the Grand Hall at Battersea Arts Centre will be hosted by Polka patron and acclaimed comedian Omid Djalili, and feature stand-up legend Michael McIntyre plus special guests.

The funds raised from this one-off comedy night are in aid of Polka Theatre for Children’s redevelopment appeal, which still needs £400,000 to complete the work.

This event is a last chance to see Michael McIntyre before he takes his sold-out Big World Tour show overseas.

Omid Djalili says: “As a Patron for Polka it’s a pleasure bringing together my comedian friends to raise some much needed funds for the redevelopment of the building. We will have a lot of fun on the night and audiences can expect to go home with a belly full of laughs and the feel-good-factor of supporting a valued local treasure – Polka Theatre”
