A 1900s British tea room is being recreated in the town centre
A Creams Tea Room - offering an experience styled to represent a 1900s British tea room - is to open in Wimbledon town centre.
As well as offering afternoon teas, Creams will sell macarons, chocolates, gifts, items from a more standard menu (eg sandwiches, salads and burgers) and speciality shakes/ice creams.
Co-founder Teyeb Aleem said: "It’s the experience; the attention to detail, the decor, the surroundings, the ambience - the way it makes you feel. Our customers don’t simply come for the food, they come to be part of the lifestyle."
The new tea rooms on The Broadway in Wimbledon town centre will be officially opened by The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Mary Curtin on Saturday June 30.
