Seal Spotted In Thames Near Wandsworth Park

Reportedly having a spot of lunch

A seal has been spotted in the river near Wandsworth Park this afternoon. Julia Day from Brighton, who posted a video of the seal, said it was feeding.



In 2013 a porpoise was spotted up stream from Putney and in 2011 another porpoise was found dead by Chiswick in 2011. Sixty years ago the Thames was deemed ‘biologically dead’, but it appears that seals are returning to our city’s river.
