Mexican fast food chain chooses borough for 'first of many' restaurants
Mexican fast food chain Taco Bell is opening a restaurant in Hammersmith's King Street within the next few weeks.
The restaurant is the first to open in London in 2018 and will be followed by a second, launching in Fulham Broadway.
Taco Bell, which is owned by New York based company Yum!, says they will be the first of 'many' new openings planned for London, which could include Westfield.
Taco Bell pulled out of the country two decades ago but has gradually returned to Britain, with 27 branches already open outside London.
Liz Williams, president of Taco Bell International said: "At the time, there wasn't as much consumer demand for Mexican food. Today there is a huge appetite for this cuisine and the Taco Bell brand.
"We're excited to bring more Taco Bell to a great city."
As well as Tacos, other favourites served up by the chain include Burritos, Quesadillas, Fajitas, Nachos and Guacamole.
