Call to Help Make Askew Road Zero Waste in 2019

Local people invited to share ideas for cutting down on plastic at Duchess W6

Makayla Drummond

The campaign is inspired by Makayla Drummond Murray of The Source Bulkfoods in Turnham Green,  pictured above, who spoke in November to a group of local people at a meeting of the Askew Business Network in November.

The Source Bulkfoods, offer over 450 bulk foods including organic wholefoods, cooking liquids and oils, healthy snacks and sustainable personal and household products, all plastic free with shoppers encouraged to bring their own reuseable containers.

Askew Business Network are supporting the plastic cutting initiative by booking the meeting room upstairs at the Duchess W6, 320 Goldhawk Road on Tuesday 15 January for local business owners and residents to meet and exchange ideas from 6.30pm.

The network says please let them know if you can come along by emailing info@askewbusiness.co.uk and signing up for a free ticket at Eventbrite.

Bring your ideas for actions we can all take and people we can partner with to reduce the plastic on our shopping street. Doors open at 6.30pm and the meeting starts at 7pm.
