Your health 2010 comes to Lyric Square

The local NHS is holding the first festival of health and wellbeing in Hammersmith's Lyric Square on Saturday July 3 from 10am till 4pm.

Your Health 2010 is intended to be a mix of fun and serious debate on local NHS issues, with free drop-in health checks, interactive exercise demonstrations, and entertainment for children.

Come along and find out how to eat your way to better health, get your cholesterol checked, and talk to a doctor about your health.

Drop in any time between 10am and 4pm to speak to local doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and other NHS staff about the health services available in the borough.

There will be information on how NHS money is spent and the big plans for improving local services. If you have ideas about how to improve NHS care, you’ll be able to talk to local NHS leaders and take part in a series of special Let's Talk workshops:

12pm - 12.30pm - GPs. What do you think about your GP surgery and the health services in your area?

12pm - 12.30pm - Spending in healthcare. What should the NHS invest in the next few years?

2pm - 2.30pm - Young people and health. Under 18? What do you think about health in Hammersmith and Fulham?

2pm - 2.30pm - Making healthcare fair for everyone. Why are there such differences in health and life expectancy within the different communities in H&F? How can the NHS change this?

NHS leaders will also be answering quesitons in a special open debate at 1pm in the Lyric Theatre. Get your free ticket for this debate, or for more information about the festival call 020 3313 7254  or email: communications@hf-pct.nhs.uk.
