Explore the history and politics with West London Palestine Solidarity Campaign
Football is hugely popular in Israel/Palestine but dogged by controversy around racism, segregation, lack of freedoms and inequality for Palestinians. The topic recently made headlines during the world football governing body FIFA’s 2015 Congress.
The speakers will explore the history, background and politics behind the controversy as well as the issues around football as an arena for the global Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign in support of Palestinian human rights.
