Police Investigate Suspicious Vehicle at Westfield
Car park, surrounding roads and tube and Overground stations closed
Westfield Shopping Centre's car park has been closed on Friday morning, 23 March after police were called out to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Officers, including specialist units, are now on the scene and a cordon has been placed around it.
Surrounding roads have also been closed and there is no exit from adjacent tube and Overground stations.
Askew Police have tweeted @MPSAskew: "Currently responding to an incident at Westfield Shopping Centre. Cordons are being put in place. Please take alternative routes to avoid your journey being disrupted."
This incident is happening in the week when Westfield is celebrating the opening of its £600 expansion.
