Fancy a Trip to the Other Westfield?

Travel straight to the new centre by Overground

London now has two Westfield shopping centres!

As well as our own Westfield London, its Eastern counterpart Westfield Stratford City has finally opened its doors today, September 13, with shops open from 10am till 9pm.

The new Westfield, which cost £1.4 billion to build is even larger than the Shepherd's Bush centre with over 300 shops 70 restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, three hotels, a bowling alley and the UK's largest casino.

The official opening is hosted by Pixie Geldof and television presenter Nick Grimshaw, and pop star Nicole Scherzinger will perform live.

You can travel straight from Westfield to Westfield in around 45 minutes on London Overground. From other local stations - Olympia, West Brompton and Imperial Wharf in Fulham - the journey is a few minutes longer.

West Londoners can also travel straight there on the Richmond to Stratford line, with journey times from Acton Central, Acton South and Gunnersbury also around 50 minutes to one hour.

Other options are to take the District Line to Westminster and connect to the Jubilee Line, or take the Central Line directly to Stratford.

Or if you prefer, you can simply watch live streaming of the opening day events on the website.

The opening comes as the centres' parent company invites residents of Hammersmith and Fulham to comment on new plans for the Shepherd's Bush shopping centre to add a £6 million extension on adjacent land.
