Singer is joined on stage by children from W12's Ark Swift Primary
American singer songwriter Gwen Stefani has thanked thousans of fans who crowded into the Atrium at Westfield on Thursday to watch her switch on the Christmas lights and perform some of her best loved songs.
After the show she tweeted @gwenstefani: " This was so insane!! Thank u London thank u @westfieldlondon gx."
The American singer was helped with the big switch on by children from local school Ark Swift Primary, clad in their Christmas jumpers and supporting Save the Children UK.
The stage was then engulfed in a huge pyrotechnic display before Gwen delighted the audience with a live performance of some favourite songs, including her seasonal single You Make It Feel Like Christmas, which she wrote with boyfriend Blake Shelton.

There is also a schedule of activities for kids and schools during the festive period, including Christmas Choir Awards 2017, with two days of heats on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 December and an awards presentation- plus performance- on Friday 8 December December.
The competition is open to primary schools across West London, allowing children from all over the area to come together with the chance to win up to £1,000 in cash for their school or exclusive experiences at the centre.
For smaller children, there will be the launch of Disney Junior Mickey and the Roadster Racers inspired playworlds on 8 December.
The fun Mickey and the Roadster Racers playworlds will offer both physical and interactive play features including a Mickey Roadster Racers inspired car, Hot Dog Hills slide, a light-up winner's podium photo opportunity, interactive flooring and screens featuring games and Magical Moments shorts.
Parents can enjoy access to a tablet device featuring digital entertainment service DisneyLife whilst charging their mobile at the adjacent charging station.
For chocolate lovers there is Ferrero Rocher: Behind the Layers, a multi-sensory experience including a tasting menu of five mini desserts created by chef Paul Hannegan, taking place in a luxurious lounge and accompanied by a choice of cocktails or mocktails. Westfield says the holiday season will also offer services including hands-free shopping, gift wrapping, concierge and valet parking and extended opening hours.
